The Groove Garden Design Process:

Phase 1: Initial Consultation
We begin with an in-depth consultation (in-person or virtual) to understand your needs, desires, and priorities. This initial meeting allows us to gain a comprehensive understanding of your property and its surroundings, enabling us to suggest initial concepts and address any concerns.

Phase 2: Site Analysis & Design Proposal
Following the consultation, we conduct a thorough site analysis, taking precise measurements and photographs to create a detailed understanding of the space. This analysis informs the development of a comprehensive design proposal, typically including a general layout plan and handcrafted perspectives, sometimes complemented by computer-generated imagery. At this stage, the price quote is for the design only, excluding construction and materials.

Phase 3: Refinement and Final Design
We work collaboratively with you to refine the design proposal, incorporating your feedback and making necessary adjustments until the plan perfectly matches your vision. The final design includes detailed plans that allow for a precise budget estimation.

Phase 4: Technical Direction & Garden Construction
Groove Garden Design provides hands-on technical direction throughout the implementation and garden construction phase, ensuring the finished garden reflects the original design vision in every detail. From construction sequencing to material coordination and site decisions, we guide the process so nothing is left to chance.
Our expertise is especially valuable during plant layout and planting, where on-site adjustments are made to fine-tune proportions, sightlines, and plant relationships, guaranteeing a mature, balanced result from day one.

Consulting & Professional Collaboration
We work seamlessly with your preferred contractors or can recommend trusted garden construction professionals we regularly collaborate with. Acting as an independent design authority, we ensure clear communication between all parties and protect the integrity of the design throughout the build.
